Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act or Perkins V

About

Perkins supplemental funding has supported South Texas College (STC) over the years to maintain and enhance Career and Technical Education (CTE) students through various programs and services. Students who are concentrating in Associate of Applied Science or Certificate programs benefit from the Required and Permissible Uses of Funds.

In an effort to achieve or surpass the Perkins V Core Performance Indicators: Retention and Placement; Earned Recognized Credential; and Non-traditional Program Enrollment, STC collaborates in working with internal and external stakeholders through the Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment (CLNA) and the annual application plans required by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) and the Department of Education (DOE).
