Despite efforts at deregulation coming out Washington, DC, there have been significant changes to the world of federal grants management for colleges and districts. OMB has once again changed the rules on procurement. All grantees need to update their internal controls on inventory, cash management, allowability, travel, and procurement. Grantees are now completing their second full year under WIOA and AEFLA, and an updated Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act brings new requirements for States, districts, and colleges as implementation begins, including conducting a local needs assessment.

South Texas College is pleased that Brustein and Manasevit, PLCC, a recognized national authority, will discuss how all of these pieces fit together. They will explain the strategies necessary to ensure that particular costs (salaries, equipment, consumables, travel, professional development) are allowable under EDGAR and the program statutes (Higher Education Act, Perkins Act, Adult Education and Family Literacy Act, Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act), and they will walk through the changes from Perkins IV to Perkins V. This session will also provide attendees with updates on workforce and higher education-related issues from the 116th Congress.

Each attendee will receive a copy of the new EDGAR book and new Perkins V book. The cost to attend this event is $210.

* After registering for the event, attendees will receive an email with their ticket and an invoice for the $210 which can be paid at a later date.
