STC admins rep college at national conference

Interim Associate Dean for Community Engagement Luzelma Canales and Vice Presidents William Serrata and Juan E. Mejia represented South Texas College at the National Achieving the Dream Strategy Institute in February 2009. The national conference hosted all higher education institutions participating in the Achieving the Dream Movement.
South Texas College, as one of the initial 27 institutions throughout the country selected to participate in the initiative, continues to be recognized for its transformational change using data to drive, support, and substantiate direction and decisions. Canales, Serrata and Mejia provided a presentation highlighting many of the successful initiatives underway following the work of the task forces and committees who worked with students and the community to take STC to a higher level.
