Take defensive driving through STC for only $25
What's worst than paying $4.00 per gallon of gasoline? Imagine getting a speeding ticket on your way to fill up your gas tank! Don't let a traffic ticket ruin your record. Take South Texas College's new Texas Defensive Driving Course offered for just $25.
Made available through the college's Continuing and Professional Education Program, the online course is approved by the Texas Education Agency. Upon completion, the course certificate can also be expedited overnight or faxed for a small fee in time-crunch situations.
"The course is great for those who dislike the idea of having to drive to a class and sit for hours through a lecture or rent a video," said Juan Carlos Aguirre, director of STC's Continuing and Professional Education Program. "You are able to take the course in the comfort of your home or your office, and at your own pace. You will save a lot of time and money."
In addition to taking the course to avoid having traffic tickets impact insurance rates and driving records, many insurance agencies offer a 10 percent discount on premiums to drivers who take a qualifying defensive driving course.
