STC Logo Usage Guidelines

The official South Texas College logo, the only approved visual image that symbolizes STC as one consolidated institution, is the graphic image shown here.
The triangle and the font type are both considered elements of the logo and are designed and arranged in a balanced relationship that is easily read and recognized by the public. Elements of the logo must not be re-arranged or used in any order except what is shown above. Acceptable color arrangements are shown below.
Elements of the logo cannot be dissected from the overall design, stretched or scaled out of proportion. Any attempt to re-create the art, type, or spacing and styling of the logo by desktop publishing or word processing will result in inconsistencies that will compromise the integrity of the logo.
The Office of Public Relations and Marketing must approve any project that will incorporate the STC logo in its production before production begins.
A Public Relations staff member must sign off on the project’s requisition before it is submitted to the Purchasing Department. If the requisition does not have the proper signatures, Purchasing will reject the requisition and send it back to the originating department.
Signing of the requisition only constitutes the Office of Public Relations and Marketing’s consent to the requisition process. The department must still give its final approval of the finished artwork if it is not submitted with the project’s requisition.
The STC logo is not for use by student organizations. Student organizations, as well all departments within the college, can use the Jaguar artwork that is provided on the STC Web site: http://admin.southtexascollege.edu/pr/logos/jag.html
The Department of Student Life must approve any student organization project that will incorporate the Jaguar artwork in its production before production begins. The Associate Dean of Student Life must sign off on the requisition before it is submitted to Purchasing. If the requisition does not have the proper signature, the Purchasing Department will reject the requisition and send it back to the originating department.
Identifying articles with the South Texas College name or logo can be an effective marketing tool for our institution.
When approaching the opportunity to affix the college name or logo to products such as pens, mugs, shirts, supplies, t-shirts, etc., it is necessary to obtain approval through the Office of Public Relations and Marketing by contacting the marketing technician. Allow three (3) business days for the approval.

Microsoft WORD Tips
To insert the logo in your WORD document from the location you saved it, click on Insert>Picture>From File.
You can also add the logo to your Clipart Gallery.
- Save the logo onto your computer
- In WORD go to >Insert>Picture>Clip Art
- In Clipart go to the "Import Clips" button and select the logo file from your computer and click "insert".
- In WORD go to >Insert>Picture>Clip Art to insert the logo into your WORD document.
Please Note: When resizing the logo please make sure to hold down the "shift" key so you keep the logo in the same proportion.
